On a beautiful sunny day in Austin, Kris was spending the day with friends on Rainey Street for the Young Texas Exes alumni group happy hour.

In the late afternoon, Kris was ready to go home, but his friends were not. They were soon joined by another small group with a cute guy named Bobby. They had a great night on the town with friends. Kris made sure to get Bobby's number before he left. It's still in his phone as 'The Awesome Bob".

A couple of weeks went by and Bobby agreed to their first date: the premiere of Jurassic World on June 13, 2015.

In the many years that followed in their relationship, they shared special moments such as Bobby's adoption of Ranger as well as their first puppy adoption together, Barbara Bush.

They have lived in love-filled home since 2020.
